Eleventh Annual Copper River Nouveau

Sen. Lisa Murkowski is the honorary host for this fun-filled weekend event that celebrates community based science and wild Copper River Salmon! A five-course gourmet dinner at the Orca Adventure Lodge historic cannery will be served by a guest celebrity chef. Lively entertainment, a silent and live auction of artwork, crafts and gourmet desserts complete our evening. All proceeds benefit the research and education programs at the Prince William Sound Science Center.

Games, bands, music, races, contests, kelp-box derby, street dancing, kids games, food, food, food - including our famous Copper River Wild! Red salmon barbeque and community potluck. Join in the whacky fun on main street. Finish the day with an old fashioned Cordova Pie Social.

The Cordova 4H Music Camps
July 11th-17th, 2010
These summer specialty camps feature a Hawaiian camp for kids ages 6-8 and a full-featured music camp for kids from 9 through 18. Both camps culminate with public performances by the campers. Guest artists will be announced at a later date.
The camp is fully staffed by talented musicians from throughout the US and Canada and includes a number of camp counselors from the Cordova area. Of note: the group Bearfoot Bluegrass, winner of the 2001 Telluride Bluegrass Music Festival, was formed at our camp and is comprised of former camp counselors!
