Featuring Guest Chef: Shane Moore
Growing up on the East Coast, Shane Moore developed his culinary passion alongside his mother and grandmother. In the late nineties, he brought his innovative and sustainable approach to cuisine to Alaska. Shane’s culinary journey began at Sacks Cafe (now Crush), where he thrived in a vibrant environment surrounded by talented chefs. He later opened Spenard Roadhouse and South Restaurant & Coffeehouse, deepening his appreciation for local ingredients and further fueling his love for the culinary arts. Shane also has the privilege of working at extraordinary, remote lodges and private yachts, allowing him to blend his culinary skills with his love for the great outdoors. When he’s not in the kitchen crafting culinary masterpieces, you can find Chef Shane immersed in any outdoor activities—whether skiing, scuba diving, fishing, or foraging.
With a steadfast commitment to locally sourced ingredients and a creative flair for unforgettable dining experiences, Shane is sure to elevate the culinary journey at this year’s Business Gala.
